You Will Get R350 Payment Only You When Satisfy These Conditions?

Since the R350 grant was introduced, many families in South Africa have been relying on this significant grant for financial support. R350 grant provides monthly payments to eligible citizens of South Africa. However, the National Treasury has released some new guidelines and rules regarding the R350 grant.

SASSA Status Dec

According to the information, the R350 grant will only be given if you satisfy all the conditions, including newly added ones. The authorities have added 2 new eligibility conditions for the SRD grant –

  • Those people who are receiving or plan to receive the SRD Grant should not have more than one bank account. This rule was added by the authorities to prevent the exploitation of the government-funded grant.
  • Those people who have more than R670 in their bank accounts are also not eligible to receive the R350 grant.

The R350 grant is provided each month, and the people who receive this significant grant are intended to utilize these funds to fulfil their basic needs. Having more money in the bank accounts might indicate that they are not using government-provided funds for their needs.

However, it might not be the same in every case. They can contact the SASSA if they have some concrete reason for having it. However, it is less likely that the SASSA will deem these individuals eligible for the R350 grant.

The main aim of adding these new rules in the system is to ensure that the grant reaches only those who are in genuine need of money, not those who don’t need it.

Additionally, the new rules do not relinquish the need to meet previous eligibility criteria. The old rules will still be applied and need to be satisfied in order to receive the R350 grant every month. In case someone doesn’t need to get the R350 payment any longer, they should notify SASSA as soon as possible.

The payments were previously intended to be made till March 2024. However, the government recently announced that the payments will now continue to help the beneficiaries till March 2025. The grant payment period has been increased by 1 year. This means that people who need this payment can receive it for a longer period, provided that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions.

  • This so called “incoming tax identified, Application declined” while you still not working, we need to see the faces of these people who give payment to 350 Grant.something fishy about them

  • To whom It my concern.
When are you going to stop giving people money to get pregnant to receive childgrants. The childgrants are being misused to get money from government. Your system is broken. Children are born into this world and in poverty because this only create more people in poverty. Schoolgirls get pregnant for this. You are destroying lives not saving lives. These babies are usually neglected.
I do not agree with abortions. God will judge yiu and this country for that, and one day the people responsible will have to answer.
I am glad I am not in their shoes. There are ways to prevent pregnancies with contraceptives.
I really think you should rethink what you are doing. This is evil and not charity.
    Kind regards
