What is the Minimum Wage in British Columbia Now?
The minimum wage in British Columbia now is 16.75 dollars per hour. BC is one of the provinces that has the highest minimum wage limit. The current minimum wage in British Columbia took effect from June 1, 2024, onwards.
The current federal minimum wage rate is 16.65 dollars per hour, which is a bit lower than the BC Minimum. Previously, the minimum wage in British Columbia was 15.65 dollars per hour (June 1, 2022 – June 1, 2024). If the provincial government of British Columbia makes changes in the minimum wage, it usually takes effect from June 1 onwards.
